01 research.

user flow / interviews / user personas

A huge part of this product launch was to change the perception people have on the Little Giant. Over the years Little Giant was known as the "Ladder on the infomercial". Little Giant has been designing ladders for the trades for years and wanted to have a design and product launch that speaks to the tradesmen.

I started with talking with our product team / creative director / CMO about the goals with the redesign. Taking those goals and started to talk with multiple people in the trades to learn what they look for in their tools. Using this information I was able to work on some user personas and create a user flow with the marketing team.

02 prototype.

wireframes / user testing

I started working on the packaging design that would help determine the vibe of the design language for the product landing page. This packaging design would also end up affecting all the ladders we sell in stores. During this phase I would go with the team and talk to tradesmen at Lowes stores a series of questions to see If the most important information was quick and easy for them to read and understand. After multiple versions of packaging designs I was able to pin a placard design. From all the information gathered through the interviews I was able to start designing the wireframes for the landing page.

03 Design.

user interface design

Following the process this is how the final landing page turned out. We also launch a video that showed the features and how it was used on the job site. This campaign was important for the copy and help change the direction in how we wanted to present our products.

04 Launch.

packaging design

This is the final packaging design that can be found in Lowes. This was a huge part of the redesign of all ladder products sold in all retail stores in the US.
