mini club

ux / ui design | web design

proposal

challenge.

Create a modern, simple, and user friendly website for club members where they can share their mini experience.

key objective.

Design a modern digital experience for club members to share and create memories with their minis and community.

solution.

Talking with owner of the club and talking with mini owners, I was able to design a modern yet exciting place where stories/news/events could be shared with local mini lovers.

design process

01

research.

the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.

02

prototype.

a first, typical or preliminary model of something, especially a machine, from which other forms are developed or copied.

03

design.

a plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of a building, garment, or other object before it is built or made.

01 research.

interviews / user personas / user flows

In the research phase of this project it was important for me to understand the goals of the mini club. I talked with the owner of the club to understand the importance of the updated website design. I also researched other car to see what they are doing for their members and community. The main goals for this redesign were to make in simple for new and old users to interact with the website, and share stories and learn about local events from the club. In order for me to do this I talked with current members and people with classic and new minis to learn about the passion and why they love minis. After talking with them I was able to create user personas to help tackle the redesign and align the goals of the club with the member/owners. I also created a user flow to help show the owner how the website would flow and guide users through the new website.

02 prototype.

sitemap / wireframes / user testing

After the research and understanding the needs of the owner and the members of the club I started creating a sitemap of the new website. Showing that to the owner and getting his feedback it was important to make those changes and continue to the wireframes. I design out the website in wireframes to help visualize the changes and how the website would look. After designing the wireframes I took showed a number of mini club members to get feedback and see how the user flow was working. After getting the feedback from them changes were made to have a better experience.

03 Design.

ui design

The next step was to take the wireframes and finalize the design. Here are a few screens, you will see how everything came together in the end, this design was meant to be simple and clean, to help the users/members to quickly get were they want to go. I also designed mobile version of the website. The owner at the end was excited and ready to grow his community.
