user personas / user journey
Meal kits were something new for Traeger to adventure into. We wanted to create an experience where a user could learn how to cook some classic BBQ meals on their Traeger grill. Research was key to make sure this was something people would want and would be interested in. We talked with may owners of traegers to see how and when they used them and how they sourced their proteins and how many meals they cook on the grill. After doing multiple rounds of interviews we were able to start to create user personas and start to understand our target audience. We also created multiple different versions of the user journey and how we could make this new product offer valuable.
02 Prototype.
wireframes / user testing
When launching the MVP version of the website we were always making changes and finding ways to make the user experience better. Here is an example of a wireframe designed and tested to try to learn about a new feature where we wanted to start to sell curated meal kits and build your own custom box where you can add as much protein and sides. User testing was a huge part of every new feature and design we wanted to add to the site. We had multiple interviews to test and see what ideas were good and bad. Using all the data collected and working close with the product leads and dev team to finalizing each feature we designed.
03 Design.
user interface design
Here are some of the final designs of the website design after getting all the feedback and showing our designs to the shareholders we were making positive changes that were helping the user experience and helping our overall conversion.

Using my past packaging design experience I also designed everything that was included inside the box from all labels for the side dishes/ spices/ rubs to all the physical and digital versions of all the recipe cards. Here is how it all would come together.
